Grow Your Instagram Business Account
Turn your Business profile into a discovery and conversion channel
Last updated 2026-06-15 · Built by the Post See team
Instagram Business accounts unlock Insights, contact buttons, and shopping integrations personal profiles lack. Growth today is Reels-first for reach, carousels for saves, and Stories for nurture—but only if your profile clearly states who you help.
This guide assumes you have or will switch to a Professional account (Business or Creator). Both access analytics; Business fits brands with checkout and contact goals.
Business account setup
- 1
Switch to Professional
Settings → Account → Switch to professional account → Choose Business. Connect Facebook Page if you run ads or cross-post to Facebook.
- 2
Optimize profile for search and clarity
Name field: brand + keyword (e.g. Post See | Social Scheduler). Bio: outcome + proof + CTA. Link: one focused landing page.
- Use a recognizable logo or face for trust
- Add category that matches how people search
- 3
Enable Insights and review weekly
Track reach, accounts engaged, profile visits, and follower growth by content type. Sort posts by saves and shares—not only likes.
Content mix that compounds
A practical weekly mix for Business accounts: 3–4 Reels, 1–2 carousels, daily Stories (polls, BTS, reshares). Feed photos still work for product brands with strong aesthetics.
- Reels: hook in first 1–2 seconds, captions with keywords, on-screen text for silent viewers
- Carousels: slide 1 is the headline; slide 2 delivers value; last slide asks for save or follow
- Stories: use polls and question stickers to source next week's content
Schedule without killing reach
Meta's official scheduling APIs support Business accounts. Queue posts in Post See, preview carousels and Reels covers, and stagger times based on Insights → Total followers → Most active times.
- 1
Connect Instagram Business in Post See
Dashboard → Settings → Connect Instagram via Facebook OAuth when required for your account type.
- 2
Preview before publish
Use the Instagram post preview tool to check crop, caption length, and hashtag block.
