Account Warmup Protocol

Launch or revive accounts without triggering trust penalties

Last updated 2026-06-15 · Built by the Post See team

Platforms score account trust from day one. Sudden bursts of identical posts, aggressive follow/unfollow, or link-heavy spam patterns can throttle reach—especially on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and X.

Warmup is not superstition: it is behaving like a real creator for 7–14 days before you scale volume or automation.

What platforms look for

Trust signals include complete profiles, consistent device and IP patterns, gradual activity increases, native engagement (watch time, replies), and content that does not trip spam classifiers.

  • Fill bio, profile photo, and link with a legitimate destination
  • Avoid mass following, comment bots, and copy-paste DMs
  • Ramp posting volume 2 → 4 → 7 per week, not 0 → 20 overnight
  • Use original or licensed media; skip recycled watermarked clips

14-day warmup checklist

Run this sequence whenever you create a new profile or return after months of silence.

  1. 1

    Days 1–3: Profile only

Complete the profile, follow 10–30 relevant accounts manually, watch and reply thoughtfully on others' posts. No links in every caption yet.

  2. 2

    Days 4–7: Light posting

Publish 2 short posts or Reels with native capture when possible. Respond to every comment within a few hours.

  3. 3

    Days 8–14: Increase cadence

Move to 4–5 posts per week. Introduce one soft CTA per week, not per post. Schedule via Post See once behavior looks organic.

  4. 4

    After day 14: Scale carefully

Add repurposing and second platforms. If reach drops sharply, pause automation for 48 hours and return to native engagement.
